The Augustinian family in Spain launches the “Madrid Agustiniano” app to accompany Pope Leo XIV’s visit
The Augustinian family in Spain presents the “Madrid Agustiniano” app, an interactive experience for discovering Augustinian history, art and spirituality during Pope Leo XIV’s visit to Spain from June 6 to 9.

The digital initiative invites users to discover the Augustinian footprint in the Spanish capital through an interactive route that brings together history, art, spirituality and culture.
The Augustinian family in Spain has presented the mobile app Madrid Agustiniano, a digital proposal created to accompany the days of Pope Leo XIV’s visit to Spain, scheduled for June 6 to 9. The app is now available to everyone at agustiniano.madrid.
The initiative aims to bring pilgrims, visitors and residents closer to the historical, spiritual, artistic and cultural richness that the different branches of the Augustinian family have built up in Madrid over the centuries. Through an interactive, gamified experience, the app offers a route through the main places, works and testimonies linked to the charism of Saint Augustine in the city that will welcome the Pontiff.
Users start the experience as a novice. As they move through the content, they discover churches, schools, social works, historical figures, works of art and events that are part of the Augustinian tradition in Madrid. Each discovery unlocks new levels and earns points that reflect their progress along this path of knowledge and encounter.
The app ends when the participant reaches the level of “Augustinian Master“, the symbol of a completed journey through the history and identity of a religious family that is still present and active in the life of the Church and of society.
“Madrid Agustiniano” is the result of many hours of shared work and the collaboration of the different institutions that make up the Augustinian family in Spain. The project is part of the Agustinos con el Papa initiative, a platform created to inform, accompany and share, in an Augustinian key, the most significant moments of Leo XIV’s visit.
Through the website agustinosconelpapa.com, the Augustinian family will offer up-to-date information, special content, pastoral resources and multimedia materials to follow the Holy Father’s visit closely and explore the bonds that unite the new Pope with the spirituality of Saint Augustine.
With this initiative, the Augustinian family wants to place at the service of the Church and of society an innovative tool that combines digital evangelization, cultural outreach and citizen participation, inviting people to discover a living heritage that continues to inspire thousands around the world.
