About us · The project

We are the Pope’s family

Leo XIV is a son of Saint Augustine: he was an Augustinian friar, a missionary in Peru and Prior General of the Order of Saint Augustine.

On this website, the Augustinian family tells the story of his pontificate from within, through the eyes of Saint Augustine and from every corner of the world where we are present.

The project is coordinated by the General Curias of the Order of Saint Augustine and the Order of Augustinian Recollects.

The Orders and the Augustinian family

In 1256, the Grand Union brought several communities of hermits together under the Rule of Saint Augustine. From that trunk grew the branches that today form a single family.
